Finklham is a village in the municipality of Scharten in the Eferding district in the Hausruckviertel in Upper Austria and a cadastral municipality . Finklham has 383 residents (as of January 1, 2020).
The place is at an altitude of 289 m above sea level. A. , around nine kilometers north-northwest of Wels and five kilometers northeast of Bad Schallerbach . In the west of the village there is a stop for the Aschacher Bahn and also in the west the Innbach flows through the village from south to north .
The cadastral community of Finklham includes the localities Breitenaich , Zeinet, Roithen, Graben and Gronall.
history
The earliest written record is from 1130 and reads "Vinkenheim". The name goes back to Middle High German vinke (finch).
