The Finster digging is a good one and a half km long right tributary of Odenbaches in the Rhineland-Palatinate district of Kaiserslautern in the area of the municipality Otterbach Otter Mountain belong to local churches Niederkirchen and Schallodenbach .

The Finstergraben rises in the natural area of the Lichtenberg ridge of the North Palatinate Uplands at an altitude of 346 m above sea level. NHN in a field on the northwest slope of Elkenknopfes ( 426.8 m ) not far from Kreisstraße 30 directly on the municipality border between Schallodenbach in the south and Niederkirchen in the north. Its source is just under half a kilometer west-southwest of the Amoshof residential area in the district of the Niederkirchen district of Wörsbach .
Initially accompanied by thick wood, it flows a good 300 meters in a west-north-west direction through fields and meadows, marking the municipality boundary. Then it turns to the northwest and then runs in a narrow valley through a strip of grass, which is bordered on the right and left by hillside forests.
Finally, after a run of 1.7 kilometers, at an altitude of 265 m , the stream flows into the Odenbach coming from the south-southwest, just under half a kilometer north-northeast of the Rauschermühle belonging to the Wörsbach district and about 40 meters east of the state road 382 .
