The Fischbach is a 4.6 km long, southern and right tributary of the Gröbenbach in the area of ​​the independent city of Munich and in the municipality of Bergkirchen , which is in the Bavarian district of Dachau . It belongs to the Isar river system .

The Fischbach rises in the west of the Munich city area. Its source is east of the Aubinger Lohe forest on the western edge of Colony I of the Lochhausen district .

The Fischbach flows in predominantly northerly directions through Lochhausen. There it crosses under the Munich – Augsburg railway line at the Munich-Lochhausen train station and about 3 creek kilometers below it, slightly northwest of the Munich Langwied junction, the federal motorway 8 . Afterwards the stream flows through the outer southern part of the municipality of Bergkirchen .

The Fischbach flows on the border from Bergkirchen to the town of Olching , which is in the neighboring district of Fürstenfeldbruck , flowing in its last meters from the southeast, directly south of the federal motorway 99, into the Amper tributary Gröbenbach coming from the south .
