Fyodor Vasilyevich Polishchuk ( Russian Фёдор Васильевич Полищук ; born July 4, 1979 in Ust-Kamenogorsk , Kazakh SSR ) is a former Kazakh ice hockey player .
Career
Fyodor Polishchuk began his career in 1998 in the second Russian division with Torpedo Ust-Kamenogorsk , with whom he became Kazakh champion in 2004 . In 2004 the striker moved to the Russian club Metallurg Novokuznetsk , where he only played one season. Then he was signed by the Russian first division club SKA Saint Petersburg for two seasons. From 2006 to 2010 he was again under contract with Metallurg Novokuznetsk. In 2010 he moved to league rivals Barys Astana , for whom he was on the ice until December 2015. In the same month Polishchuk returned to Novokuznetsk again.
International
For Kazakhstan , Polishchuk took part in the junior division of the 1999 U20 World Junior Championship . In the senior sector, he was in his country's squad at the B World Cup in 2000 and, after the changeover to the current division system, at the World Championships in Division I in 2001 , 2002 , 2003 , 2011 , 2013 and 2015 and in the World Championships in the Top Division in 2004 , 2005 , 2012 and 2014 . In addition, he represented Kazakhstan in the qualifying tournaments for the Olympic Winter Games in 2006 and 2014 as well as in the Winter Games in Turin in 2006. He also won the gold medal at the 2011 Asian Winter Games with the Kazakh selection .
