She was one of the most successful French racers in the 1990s. Her specialty disciplines were downhill and super-G . However, at the beginning of her career she was also a good technician and in 1990 she finished third in the giant slalom in Stranda (NOR) and fourth in the slalom in Morzine (FRA). She celebrated her only victory in the World Cup in 1995 in the Super-G in Garmisch-Partenkirchen .
She won three medals in major title competitions. At the 1992 Olympic Games in Albertville she won the bronze medal in the Alpine Combined and at the 1998 Olympic Games in Nagano she won the bronze medal in the downhill. She was also successful at the World Ski Championships: in 1999 she was third in the combination in Vail .
From 1985 to the end of her career in 1999, Masnada won 14 French championship titles - more than any other ski racer. She won six times in the combination, three times in the slalom, twice in the downhill and in the Super-G and once in the giant slalom.
