Florent Marie Gaston Patas d'Illiers (born April 8, 1926 in Poitiers , Vienne , † May 29, 2015 ) was a French flotilla admiral of the Navy , who was last from 1980 to 1982 naval adviser to the General Delegate for Disarmament Affairs in the Ministry of Defense.

Life

Naval officer training and uses

After attending school, Patas d'Illiers began an officer training at the Naval School (École Navale) in Lanvéoc and entered the Navy (Marine nationale française) after graduation . Awards

For his many years of service, he was awarded the Croix de guerre des Théâtres d'Opérations Extérieurs in October 1949 and August 1950 , the Knight's Cross of the Legion of Honor on July 8, 1962 , the Officer's Cross of the Ordre national du Mérite on November 13, 1972, and on November 18 , 1972 October 1979 the Officer's Cross of the Legion of Honor awarded.
