Lijiang Airport ( Chinese  丽江 市 飞机场 ) is an airport in Lijiang , Yunnan Province , China . It was built in 1995 as a civil airport and is located 25 km south of the actual city of Lijiang. There are flights to and from Kunming , Chengdu , Xishuangbanna , Beijing and Shanghai .

history

During the Second World War, Lijiang Airport was - like other airports in China - a military airfield for the Allies of the Second World War, where aircraft landed after their missions against Japan in the Second Sino-Japanese War . Over the years it was then only slightly expanded. The terminal was not expanded significantly until 2010.
