Frédéric François-Marsal (born March 16, 1874 in Paris , † May 20, 1958 in Gisors , Département Eure ) was a French banker and politician .

François-Marsal initially did military service, then switched to the financial business and was from 1909 to 1914 Secretary General, Director and General Manager of the "Banque Privée". He then took part in the First World War as a soldier . In 1919 he worked at the Versailles peace negotiations as a financial expert for the French delegation.

François-Marsal was a conservative politician and served during the Third French Republic from January 20, 1920 to January 16, 1921 and again from March 29, 1924 to June 14, 1924 as the country's finance minister . In a transitional government he held the post of Prime Minister from June 8 to 10, 1924 . After the resignation of Alexandre Millerand , he briefly took over the provisional leadership of the state presidency from June 11th to 13th, 1924 . In addition, he was Senator of the Cantal Department from 1921 to 1930 and a member of the Académie des sciences morales et politiques from 1928 to 1947 .
