Francesco Antonio Tadey

Francesco Antonio Taddei , who signed himself as Tadey junior (born February 27, 1767 in Gandria , Switzerland ; † June 10, 1827 in Schleswig , Germany ) was a plasterer from Italian-speaking Switzerland.

Taddei, son of Carlo Giuseppe Taddei , came to Schleswig in 1784. At times he worked with his brother Michel Angelo Taddei as an assistant.

Soon afterwards he worked at Rundhof Palace near Kappeln an der Schlei , in 1790 at Wulfshagen Abbey near Stralsund and in Sonderborg , and in 1791 at Schackenborg Palace near Tondern ( Jutland ). After working in Schleswig, in 1791 and 1792 he decorated the Schimmelmann 's mausoleum in the Wandsbek cemetery, possibly also rooms in Wandsbek Castle . In 1796/1797 he worked in the manor house of Gut Knoop . From 1796 he worked for several years on the renovation work at Emkendorf Castle , where the Saxon master builder Carl Gottlob Horn carried out extensive renovations. In 1812 he was commissioned with the decoration of Axel Bundsen's chapel in Flensburg , then with the Büstorf manor ( Rieseby municipality ).

Taddei married on June 6, 1800 in Schleswig Friederike Christiane Wildhagen (* March 17, 1772, † June 22, 1853 in Schleswig)
