Francis Dean Alleyne OSB (born December 3, 1951 in Pointe-à-Pierre ( Trinidad and Tobago )) is Bishop of Georgetown .

Life

Francis Alleyne entered the Benedictine Abbey of Mount St. Benedict in Tunapuna and made his profession on December 8, 1975. He was ordained a priest on July 7, 1985 . He was the novice master and prior of the abbey. In 1995 he was elected abbot.

Pope John Paul II appointed him Bishop of Georgetown on October 30, 2003 . The episcopal ordination donated him the Archbishop of Port of Spain , Edward Joseph Gilbert CSsR , on January 30 of the next year; Co-consecrators were Lawrence Aloysius Burke S.J. , Archbishop of Nassau , and Benedict Singh , Former Bishop of Georgetown.
