Francisco Viti

Francisco Viti (born August 15, 1933 in Misasa-Evanga ) is old archbishop of Huambo .

Life

Francisco Viti was ordained a priest on July 14, 1963 .

Pope Paul VI appointed him on August 10, 1975 as the first bishop of the diocese Serpa Pinto, established on the same date . The Apostolic Delegate in Angola , Giovanni De Andrea , ordained him episcopal on September 28 of the same year ; Co- consecrators were Américo Henriques , Bishop of Nova Lisboa , and Zacarias Kamwenho , Bishop of Novo Redondo .

Pope John Paul II appointed him Archbishop of Huambo on September 12, 1986 . He resigned from his office on July 31, 2003.
