Frank Neven (born May 26, 1995 ) is a Belgian ice hockey player who has been under contract with the Bulldogs de Liège since 2013 and has played with them in the Belgian-Dutch BeNe League since 2015 .

Career

Frank Neven started his career as an ice hockey player at IHC Leuven , for whom he made his debut in the Belgian first division in 2012 after playing for the club's second team in the second division in the preseason. In 2013 he and his team won the Belgian national championship . He then moved to the Bulldogs de Liège . With the club from the cultural metropolis of Wallonia , he not only won the national championship title again in 2014, but also the cup competition . Since 2015 he has been playing with the Bulldogs in the newly founded BeNe League . In 2018 he was able to win the Belgian cup competition with the club again.

International

For Belgium, Neven took part in the U18 World Championships in 2012 in Division III and in 2013 in Division II. In the U20 he played at the World Championships in 2013 and 2015 in Division II and after relegation in 2014 , when he was second best scorer after fellow countryman Michael van Egdom and second best scorer of the tournament after New Zealander Aaron Henderson and was voted best defender in Division III.

With the men's national team , Neven took part in the Division II World Championships in 2014 , 2015 , 2017 and 2018 .
