Frank Oppermann

Frank Oppermann (born May 19, 1966 in Brühl near Cologne) is a German musical performer , actor , director , singer and theater director.

Life

Frank Oppermann trained as a stage actor from 1991 to 1995 at the Folkwang University of the Arts in Essen. In his main subject singing, he was a student of Kammersängerin Catherine Gayer . He was tutored in acting by Werner Wölbern . In the last year of his studies he was hired for his first engagement at the Neu-Ulm Theater . Since then he has played numerous leading and supporting roles in plays such as The Rocky Horror Show , Cabaret , West Side Story and The Man of La Mancha .

In 1996 he was a founding member of the Ensemble Kabarett-Theater Neu-Ulm . In the same year he was signed up for a pop project for EMI Electrola under the pseudonym Candyboy with the techno version of Kein Schwein ruft mich an and was featured on the Bravo hits CD No. 14.

From 2016 to 2018 he was a permanent member of the Ensemble Phoenix Bühnenspielgemeinschaft in Cologne, the former Theater die Baustelle and from 2017 to January 2018 commercial director of the ensemble and its new venue, the Urania Theater in Cologne-Ehrenfeld .

Oppermann has been trying to succeed Walter Ullrich in the Kleiner Theater Bad Godesberg since 2016 . After the first negotiations with two other partners failed in January 2018, he applied for the lease of the small theater in May 2018 within the tender by the city of Bonn. On February 27, 2019, Oppermann was awarded the contract. As of July 1, 2019, he will be the theater director of the Small Theater in Bad Godesberg, continuing the more than 60-year history of theater.
