Franz Bitter

Franz Bitter (born January 14, 1865 in Aschendorf ; † May 23, 1924 in Leipzig ) was a member of the German Reichstag and judge at the Reich Court .

Life

Bitter attended the Carolinum grammar school in Osnabrück from 1874 to 1880 , the Josefineum grammar school in Hildesheim until 1883 and then the universities of Freiburg and Göttingen until 1886. From 1891 he was a lawyer at the higher regional court in Kiel . In 1884/1885 he served in Infantry Regiment No. 113 in Freiburg . In 1886 he was sworn in to the sovereign. In 1891 he was admitted to the bar at the Higher Regional Court. In 1905 he became a notary.

From 1907 to 1912 he was a member of the German Reichstag for the constituency of the Province of Hanover 4 Osnabrück , Bersenbrück , Iburg for the German Center Party .

From 1912 he was admitted to the bar at the Reichsgericht . In the same year he was honored with the title of Council of Justice. In 1922 he moved to the bench of the Reichsgericht, of which he was a member until his death in 1924.

Bitter's son Bruno Bitter (born October 14, 1898 in Kiel, † January 21, 1988 in Tokyo ) became a Jesuit and rector of Sophia University .
