Franz Eiselt

Franz Eiselt (* 8. May 1905 in Neugrund ; † October 1986 ) was a German farmer and functionary of the GDR - Block Party CDU and member of the Central Committee of the VdgB . From 1954 to 1963 he was a member of the People's Chamber .

Life

The son of a forest worker attended primary school in Ober-Politz. From 1919 to 1922 he learned the trade of carpenter and then worked as a carpenter's assistant. From 1924 to 1927 he worked as a farm laborer and in 1927 took over a farm of 40 acres. On November 1, 1938, he became a member of the NSDAP . During the Second World War he had to do military service in the Wehrmacht .

After the war he went to the Soviet occupation zone with his partner , worked as a farm worker in the Magdeburg Börde from 1945 to 1948 and became a new farmer in Eichenbarleben in 1948 . In 1947 he became a member of the newly founded CDU and in 1948 of the Association of Mutual Farmers Aid (VdgB). In 1950 he became 2nd chairman of the CDU local group Eichenbarleben and chairman of the local committee of the National Front . From 1952 to 1958 he was a member of the Wolmirstedt district board and from 1954 the Magdeburg district board of the CDU. He was a co-founder in 1952 and, as a Catholic Christian, was the first chairman of LPG Type III "Bördefrieden" in Eichenbarleben until 1962 . Eiselt also worked as a functionary of the VdgB (BHG) at local and district level and was a member of the central board of the VdgB from 1954 to 1963. From 1955 he was a member of the Wolmirstedt district committee of the National Front and from 1956 a member of the GST district committee. Eiselt was elected on September 15, 1956 at the 8th party congress as a member of the main board of the CDU and was chairman of the agriculture and forestry working group of the main board. As a member of parliament, he represented the CDU in the People's Chamber from the 2nd to the 3rd electoral term .

His last job was as a milk tester in Eichenbarleben and politically active as a member of the CDU district executive in Wolmirstedt. Eiselt died at the age of 81.
