Franz Klepacz (born October 10, 1926 in Bitterfeld ; † beginning of January 2017 ), called "Lolli", was a German football player who played 201 games in the Oberliga Nord with 22 goals from 1951 to 1960 as a player in Hamburger SV .

career

Oberliga Nord, 1951 to 1961

Franz Klepacz came from the 2nd League West via the stations VfB Preußen Greppin , VfL Bitterfeld , FC Höxter and VfB 03 Bielefeld - VfB was 11th and Klepacz had scored seven goals in 28 league games alongside teammate Justus Eccarius - after the round in 1950/51 to Hamburger SV in the Oberliga Nord. The all-round player started as a left winger and moved to the left defensive position over the years. Until 1954 he experienced Georg Knöpfle's training work with the two northern championships in 1952 and 1953. From 1954 to 1956, the tandem Martin Wilke and Günter Mahlmann were responsible for the sporting management of HSV and won the titles in 1955 and 1956 in the north with the regular Klepacz. The integration of the talents Gerhard Krug , Uwe Seeler , Klaus Stürmer and Jürgen Werner had a promising future . From the 1956/57 season Günter Mahlmann, the brother of President Carl-Heinz Mahlmann , was solely responsible as HSV trainer. From 1957 to 1960 Klepacz was involved in winning four other titles in the Oberliga Nord as a player.

Finals and finals, 1952 to 1960

From 1952 to 1959, "Lolli" Klepacz played 34 games in the finals of the German football championship in the HSV dress and scored five goals. In the finals of 1957 and 1958 against Borussia Dortmund and FC Schalke 04 , he was in action for Hamburg. He stormed against Dortmund in 1957 on the left wing, and in the 1958 World Cup in Sweden against Schalke, he acted as a left defender. Ironically, in the year of the greatest success, winning the German soccer championship in 1960, he was not in action in the finals due to injuries. In the 1959/60 league round he had played the first 14 games in a row, but then had to take a break from injury until April 24, 1960. After the test in the last round match against VfL Osnabrück , the round was over for him. Before the finals for the German championship, Klepacz was already in the final against Karlsruher SC with HSV in the 1956 DFB Cup . The venue was the Karlsruhe Wildpark Stadium and the Baden won the game on August 5th with 3-1 goals. On September 25, 1955 Klepacz completed an international match in the B national team of the DFB at the game in Ljubljana (Laibach) against Yugoslavia. Before goalkeeper Horst Schnoor , he formed the defender pair with Offenbach's Helmut Sattler . The 8-0 defeat prevented further missions. In the 1960/61 round he was still on the Hamburger SV's payroll thanks to a “loyalty contract”, but he was no longer used.
