Franz Mack

Franz Mack (born March 7, 1921 in Waldkirch ; † October 3, 2010 in Rust ) was a German entrepreneur .

After attending primary school, he learned the trade of car and body builder. After his apprenticeship, he passed the master's examination in this profession. In 1958, he and two brothers took over Mack GmbH & Co in Waldkirch, which deals with the development and production of amusement park attractions. With his son Roland Mack , he founded Europa-Park in Rust in 1975 . He co-designed many of the Europa-Park attractions, including Eurosat (1989) and Euro-Mir (1997).

In addition to his work in his own company, Mack was also active in various committees, such as a member of the standards committee for the temporary structures of the TÜV .

Franz Mack was married to Liesel Mack from 1948 until her death in 2004 and has two sons, Roland and Jürgen Mack .

He died on the night of October 3, 2010 in Rust at the age of 89.
