Franz Reinhard (politician)

Franz Reinhard (born January 8, 1859 in Schildhorst ; † November 21, 1927 in Osnabrück ) was a German lawyer and politician. Reinhard was a member of the Prussian House of Representatives from 1904 to 1918 , of the Provincial Parliament of Hanover in 1920 and of the Prussian State Council from 1921 to 1927 .

Life

Reinhard first attended elementary school and later the Josephinum grammar school in Hildesheim . From 1876 to 1879 he studied law at the universities of Göttingen and Tübingen . After successfully completing his degree, he was accepted into the Prussian judicial service in 1880 as a court trainee and since 1885 as a court assessor. In 1889 he was appointed magistrate in Gammertingen and had worked as such in Melle since 1892 . He retired as a district judge on April 1, 1922, but took over the management of the state youth welfare office a short time later . He was also an alternate member of the Grand Disciplinary Board for Judicial Officials.

Reinhard, who was himself a Catholic , was elected mayor and district deputy of Melle for the Center Party . From 1904 to November 1918 he was a member of the Prussian House of Representatives. After the end of the First World War he became a member of the provincial parliament of Hanover in 1920 and from May 1921 a member of the Prussian State Council for the center. A mandate that he held until his death. Franz Reinhard died on November 21, 1927, at the age of 68 in Osnabrück. For his services, he received the title of a secret judicial council .
