Franz Seifert
Franz Seifert (born April 2, 1866 in Schönkirchen , † January 19, 1951 in Linz ) was an Austrian sculptor .
Life
Franz Seifert studied with Edmund Hellmer and Carl Kundmann at the Academy of Fine Arts in Vienna . After a long study trip abroad (presumably Rome) he carried out some work for Hellmer. Seifert made busts, statues and smaller sculptures for the living room or for the garden, often on mythological themes. In 1916 he was appointed professor . In 1929 he retired into private life and moved to Linz during the Second World War , where he also died. Franz Seifert was politically close to the SDAP .

↑ A portrait medallion for the Pirquethof. In: Reichspost , 6 August 1930, p. 4 (online at ANNO ). The new residential building of the community in the Gablenzgasse, for which the name Pirquethof was decided, receives a portrait medallion, which is to be attached in bronze to the facade facing the Gablenzgasse. The explanatory text of the medallion, which is being modeled by the academic sculptor Professor Franz Seifert, reads: “Dr. Klemens Pirquet. 1874-1929. The great doctor and philanthropist, the children's helper. The municipality of Vienna. "
