Franz Seraph Reicheneder
Franz Seraph Reicheneder (born October 1, 1905 in Frontenhausen ; † December 28, 1976 there ) was a pastor , historian and local researcher .
Life
Reicheneder was born on October 1, 1905 in Frontenhausen . He attended high school in Metten and studied theology in Regensburg . On June 29, 1932 he was ordained a priest in Regensburg. He worked as a cooperator in Böbrach from 1932 to 1933 and in Gangkofen from 1933 to 1936 , where he came into conflict with the Nazi state power and only saved him from being transferred to the concentration camp. In 1936 Reicheneder was provisional parish priest in Hohenwart near Kötzting . From 1936 to 1937 he worked in Eslarn and from 1937 to 1941 in Bubach bei Mamming ( beneficiary ). In 1941 he took over the parish in Niedermotzing as pastor and in 1953 in Ruhmannsfelden , where he stayed until his retirement in 1974. From 1954 to 1957 he carried out extensive construction work in Ruhmannsfelden. For example, the vicarage's utility buildings were converted into a youth home and the parish church, the rectory and the Osterbrünnl chapel were renovated. On December 29, 1965 he was awarded the honorary citizenship certificate of the market town of Ruhmannsfelden. He retired from 1974 in Frontenhausen, where he was born. Reicheneder died on December 28, 1976 in Frontenhausen.

During his time in Ruhmannsfelden, Reicheneder left an extensive chronicle about the history of Ruhmannsfelden and the surrounding areas. His "Chronicle Ruhmannsfelden", which consists of 29 A4 files, as he called the chronicle himself, covers almost all areas of the recent and older history of Ruhmannsfelden and the surrounding area to be researched.
