Franz Wilhelm Voigt
Gustav Franz Wilhelm Voigt (born September 4, 1867 in Hof , † 1949 in Munich ) was a German painter from the Munich School .
Life
Franz Wilhelm Voigt attended the Breslau Art Academy and Simon Hollósy's private school in Munich. From 1893 to 1896 he was a student of Paul Hoecker at the Academy of Fine Arts in Munich . During this time he became a member of the artist group Die Scholle . At times he also worked as an illustrator for the magazine Die Jugend . From 1896 to 1897 he went on a study trip to Italy. Voigt's works can be assigned to painterly realism . He was influenced by the Munich Leibl circle , but clearly impressionistic .
