Franz von Segesser von Brunegg (born May 3, 1854 in Lucerne , † October 30, 1936 there ) was a Swiss Roman Catholic clergyman and educator .

Life

Franz von Segesser von Brunegg was the son of Ludwig von Segesser von Brunegg, an engineer and his wife Maria, geb. Mayr from Baldegg. His uncle was the politician Philipp Anton von Segesser .

From 1875 to 1877 he studied law at the University of Munich and the University of Strasbourg and then from 1877 to 1880 theology at the University of Innsbruck . After he was ordained a priest, he had a short period of vicariate in Monfaucon and then continued his study of canon law from 1880 to 1882 in Rome ; there he received his doctorate in canon law .
