Ernst Aub

Friedrich Ernst Aub (born August 30, 1837 in Fürth ; † March 18, 1900 in Munich ) was a German physician and politician .

Life

Born the son of a businessman , Aub studied medicine in Erlangen after attending grammar school in Nuremberg . During his studies in 1856 he became a member of the Germania Erlangen fraternity . In 1862 he was promoted to Dr. med. PhD and was then assistant at the municipal hospital in Fürth. From 1865 he worked as a general practitioner in Oberschwaningen , from 1869 in Feuchtwangen and became district doctor in 1879, then from 1886 district and police doctor in Munich. In 1897 he became government and district medical advisor for Upper Bavaria . In 1871 he came as a substitute in the Bavarian state parliament and was from 1875 for Dinkelsbühl and as a parliamentary group leader of the National Liberal Party in the state parliament. In 1897 he was president of the German Medical Association.

Honors

On July 14, 1874, Aub became an honorary citizen of Feuchtwangen .
