Friedrich Jonae

Friedrich Jonae , rarely with the title of nobility : Friedrich von Jona († October 16, 1753 in Neisse ) was a Prussian lieutenant colonel and chief of the Silesian artillery .

Career

Jonae joined the artillery of the Prussian army in 1712 . On the one hand, he was listed as a Sous-Lieutenant in the rankings of the 4th Garrison Company as early as 1730 , on the other hand, he is said to have advanced to Secondary in 1731 - and in 1739 to Prime Lieutenant . He continued a career and rose to staff captain in 1741 and prime captain in 1742 . Until then he was in command of the 6th Company in Breslau , but with his promotion to real captain he was given the command of the 7th Company in Neisse. In 1748 he was promoted to major and, after the death of Lieutenant Colonel Pannewitz in the same year, was his successor as commander of the entire Silesian artillery, with a simultaneous promotion to lieutenant colonel.
