Friedrich Dulk

Friedrich Philipp Dulk (born November 22, 1788 in Stallupönen , East Prussia , † December 14, 1851 in Königsberg ) was a German pharmacist , chemist and university professor . He was also a member of the Mineralogical Society of Jena .

Live and act

His father, an excise collector , moved with the family to Bartenstein a year after Dulk was born . Friedrich Dulk began to study law at the Albertina in Königsberg in 1804 and also learned pharmacy from his brother . In 1812 he made in Berlin his exams as a pharmacist and took over in 1815 the pharmacy of his brother. In his business-free hours he devoted himself to studying chemistry and was able to qualify as an academic lecturer in 1825 . Then he was appointed full professor at the Albertina Königsberg . Dulk's main work is his commentary on the Prussian Pharmacopoeia . He was a member of the First and Second United State Parliaments .

family

He is the father of the playwright Albert Dulk . His daughter Marie Sophie Emilie Dulk married Otto Hesse in 1841 .
