Friedrich Trinks

Friedrich Trinks (born May 28, 1844 in Meiningen ; † April 6, 1930 ibid) was a German judge. He was the last Minister of State of the Duchy of Saxony-Meiningen .

Life

After graduating from high school Georgianum (Hildburghausen) , Trinks studied law at the Ruprecht-Karls-Universität Heidelberg , the University of Jena and the University of Leipzig . In 1865 he became a member of the Corps Franconia Jena and the Corps Misnia Leipzig . He joined the justice service in Saxony-Meiningen and was an assessor in Camburg (1875) and Sonneberg (1876). From 1879 to 1902 he was a district judge in Saalfeld / Saale . The local council elected him chairman in 1884. In 1885 Trinks was elected to the Meiningen regional synod . In 1902 Trinks became a state councilor and head of the ministerial department for justice and for church and school matters , which was also responsible for the University of Jena. Trinks enjoyed the special trust of Duke Georg II , who was happy to entrust him with "delicate matters". In the November Revolution he was removed from office at the age of 72.

Parliamentarians

From 1886 to 1892 he was a national liberal member of the Meininger Landtag . He ran in vain for the Reichstag election in 1887 . The Meiningen Landtag elected him in 1889 as 2nd and in 1891 as 1st Vice President and in 1899 as President of the State Parliament .

family

Friedrich Trinks came from a very respected and influential family in Meiningen. He was the 5th child and 3rd son of Bartholomäus Viktor Trinks . He was married to Lina Hädrich († 1917), daughter of a large mill owner and member of the state parliament. The marriage remained childless. Friedrich's nephew Viktor Trinks worked out the typewritten ancestral book for the family.
