Friedrich Wilhelm von Proeck

Friedrich Wilhelm von Proeck ( October 16, 1632 in Zerbst - November 21, 1688 in Königsberg ) was the Prussian high marshal.

Life

Origin and family

Friedrich Wilhelm was a member of the Anhalt line of those of Proeck . His parents were the councilor and stable master of Plötzkau , Wilhelm von Proeck (1585–1654) and Susanne, née von Rumroth (1601–1645). After 1663 he married Juliane Charlotte von Stechow (1639–1708) and had sons Carl Siegmund and Lebrecht with her.

Career

In 1664 Proeck became a legation councilor and captain at Osterrode and Hohenstein . In 1685 he moved to Fischhausen as Vogt and in 1687 became captain of Brandenburg . On February 19, 1688 he was promoted to senior counselor and chief bureau of the Duchy of Prussia .

He was also a Prussian Oberregimentalrat, Privy Councilor of State and Vice-President of the Higher Appeal Court . Proeck was buried on January 26, 1689 in the Löbenicht Church in Königsberg.
