Friedrich von Proeck

Friedrich von Proeck (* 1640 on Kopper Hagen , Kreis Wehlau ; † 28. December 1721 in Allenburg ) was a German and kurbrandenburger General sergeant of infantry and hereditary lord on Kopper Hagen and Wommern and Amtshauptmann of Ragnit .

His parents were Johann Georg von Proeck († 1655) and his wife Anna Dorothea Thiesel von Taltitz from the Powayen family .

In 1672 he went to Brandenburg as a volunteer . During the Northern War from 1672 to 1679 against the French and Swedes, he took part in the Battle of Fehrbellin . On October 26, 1678, he became a lieutenant colonel , but he only received one company . On January 1, 1686 he became a colonel and on December 29, 1685, he and his company were assigned to the regiment of Prince Heinrich of Saxony . He belonged to the Brandenburg contingent that was sent to Hungary during the Great Turkish War . During this campaign he distinguished himself in the siege of Ofen . On April 16, 1691 he was assigned to the Flemming Regiment . On February 2, 1701 he received his resignation as sergeant-general of the infantry.

He died on December 28, 1721 in Allenburg and was buried there.
