Career

societies

For the 1906/07 season he moved to city rivals BFC Germania 1888 , with whom he failed in the semifinals of the Berlin Cup competition in 1908 at the Berlin champions and later German champions BTuFC Viktoria 89 and relegated to the second division at the end of the 1908/09 season. National team

In the first international match of the national team on April 5, 1908 in Basel against the Swiss national team , he guarded the gate. For the match he lost 3: 5, he had to skip school as a prospective high school graduate for the trip to Switzerland. The first national players received 20 marks in expenses in addition to the train ticket, which should be enough to pay for three days of room and board.

Others

Baumgarten completed a medical degree at the University of Königsberg after graduating from high school with which he left the Gymnasium zum Grauen Kloster in Berlin .
