Fritz Logemann

Fritz Logemann (born June 9, 1907 in Vohrde ; † September 24, 1993 in Diepholz ) was a German politician ( DP , later FDP ).

From 1969 to 1976 he was Parliamentary State Secretary at the Federal Minister for Food, Agriculture and Forestry .

Life and work

After primary school and a private school, Logemann, who was of Protestant faith, attended the higher agricultural school. From 1929 he ran a farm in Vohrde . From 1943 to 1945 he took part in World War II as a soldier and was seriously wounded. Logemann was federal chairman of the Association for Agricultural Economics since 1948.

Logemann was the nephew of the Reichstag member Diederich Logemann and the uncle of the Lower Saxony FDP Federal Minister Heinrich Juergens .

Political party

Logemann joined the German Party after the Second World War , and he headed its specialist committee for agricultural policy. After the merger of the DP with the GB / BHE to form the All-German Party , he joined the FDP on April 25, 1961 .

MP

Logemann was a member of the state parliament in Lower Saxony from 1951 to 1957 . From 1957 to 1976 he was a member of the German Bundestag . From March 5, 1968 to 1969 he was chairman of the FDP parliamentary group on agricultural policy .

Logemann has always entered the Bundestag via the Lower Saxony state list.

Public offices

From 1948 on, Logemann was mayor of Anstedt in the Diepholz district .

On October 22, 1969, he was appointed Parliamentary State Secretary to the Federal Minister for Food, Agriculture and Forests in the federal government led by Federal Chancellor Willy Brandt . He kept this office under his successor Helmut Schmidt . After the 1976 general election , he left office on December 15, 1976.
