Fritz Ostermayer (* 1956 in Schattendorf ) is an Austrian journalist , author , DJ and musician .

Live and act

Fritz Ostermayer, who lives and works in Vienna, first worked as a cultural editor for the city newspaper Falter and as a music editor for the daily newspaper Der Standard after various discontinued studies . He also worked as a freelance radio maker for the ORF programs Die Musicbox , Diagonal and Kunstradio . After founding the radio station FM4 , he began to work there as a program designer and can be heard in the programs Im Sumpf , Graue Lagune and (the now discontinued) double room together with his colleague Thomas Edlinger . Fritz Ostermayer is considered a promoter of Austrian underground and alternative culture and gave musicians and artists such as Christoph and Lollo and monochrom a stage early on.

In the summer of 2007 he presented the ORF television program Willkommen Österreich with Edlinger . Since June 2012 he has also been director of the Vienna School for Poetry, where he succeeds the institution's founder, Christian Ide Hintze , who died unexpectedly in February 2012 at the age of 58.
