Frode Scheie (born March 19, 1967 in Drøbak , Norway ) is a Norwegian handball coach and former handball goalkeeper .
The 1.94 m tall goalkeeper played in his youth at Refstadt / Veitvet before making his debut at Fyllingen HK in the Norwegian Postenligaen . With Drammen HK he won the City Cup in 1996 against VfL Hameln . He then moved to the final opponent in the German handball Bundesliga . After one season, he joined the HSG Nordhorn at with which he in 1999 rose to the Bundesliga. He then moved to ThSV Eisenach , which he left in 2001 for SG Flensburg-Handewitt . With Flensburg he reached the final of the 2001/02 European Cup Winners' Cup and won the 2002/03 DHB Cup .
With the Norwegian national team , the 105-time selection player took part in the 1997 and 1999 World Championships and the 2000 European Championship .
After the end of his career, Frode Scheie was coach of the Norwegian women's team Bækkelagets SK and in the 2013/14 season of the men's team of Follo HK. In May 2014 he was appointed managing director of Drammen HK.
He is married to Ine Beate and has three children.
