The Furtbach in Würenlos

The Furttal is located between Lägern and Altberg in the Dielsdorf district of the canton of Zurich in Switzerland .

In the east it is closed by a moraine against the Katzenseen near Regensdorf , in the west it ends at Würenlos , where the Furtbach , which gave the valley its name, flows into the Limmat .

The Zurich Furttal consists of the area of ​​the municipalities:

• Buchs ZH
• Dällikon
• Dänikon
• Hüttikon
• Otelfingen
• Boppelsen
• Regensdorf
• The old district of Würenlos and the associated hamlets Kempfhof and Oetlikon in the canton of Aargau are also located in the Furttal.

To irrigate the fields, water from the Limmat is expected to be pumped into the Furttal via a pipeline system from 2022. At present, water from the Furtbach and groundwater is still used for this. The Migros Zurich Cooperative's Golf Park in Otelfingen will continue to be supplied with water from the Frutbach in the future.

According to the current overall transport concept of the canton of Zurich, the Furttal is well below average with a public transport share of less than 20%.
