Götz Frömming

Götz Frömming (born August 30, 1968 in Eutin ) is a German educator and politician ( AfD ). He has been a member of the German Bundestag since 2017 .

Life

After graduating from the Kronberg-Gymnasium Aschaffenburg , Frömming did some military service and then some civilian service . From 1991 he completed a degree in German studies , history and philosophy at the University of Frankfurt am Main and the Humboldt University in Berlin , which he completed in 2002 with the first and then the second state examination for teaching at grammar schools.

After the subsequent legal clerkship , Fromming worked as a teacher for German, history and politics at the Schloss Salem School and at the Windeck-Gymnasium Bühl . As director of studies , Frömming was then senior level coordinator at Diesterweg-Gymnasium in Berlin and then department head at Berlin Lessing-Gymnasium . 2012 Fromming was at the Technical University of Karlsruhe to Dr. phil. PhD. Fromming received his doctorate in German Medieval Studies.

After becoming a member of the Free Voters from 2012, Frömming joined the AfD in 2013. On April 14, 2013 he took part in the founding party conference of Alternative für Deutschland at the Hotel InterContinental Berlin . He then worked in leading positions in the development of the Berlin regional association of the AfD . He was the campaign manager for the Berlin regional association in the 2017 federal election and head of the editorial committee of the AfD's federal program commission. He is also a founding member and board member of the Desiderius Erasmus Foundation , which now operates as the AfD party foundation .

Frömming has been a member of the German Bundestag since 2017 and is chairman of the AfD in the Committee for Education, Research and Technology Assessment . He was elected to the Bundestag via the Berlin state list . In the 19th German Bundestag, Frömming is a full member of the Mediation Committee and the Board of Trustees of the Federal Agency for Civic Education. He is a deputy member of the Culture and Media Committee.

Private

Götz Frömming is married and has two children.
