Götzendorf is a district of the town of Schnaittenbach in the district of Amberg-Sulzbach in the Upper Palatinate in Bavaria .

history

The name Götzendorf is interpreted as the village of a Gezzo . The name Getzendorf appears in 1513, Götzendorf in 1596 and Gözendorf in 1721.

On May 1, 1978, the municipality of Kemnath am Buchberg , to which Götzendorf belonged, was incorporated into the town of Schnaittenbach.

From Kemnath am Buchberg you can reach Götzendorf via the district road AS 32 and the district road AS 32 after 4 km.

Götzendorf is connected to local public transport via a bus line. This is line 74 of the RBO between Götzendorf or Mertenberg and Schnaittenbach.
