Sitzambuch is a district of the town of Schnaittenbach in the district of Amberg-Sulzbach in the Upper Palatinate in Bavaria .

history

In the Salbuch of 1283 a Sedelhof is mentioned in Sitzambuch as a small noble residence. Fiefs are awarded several times by Ludwig the Bavarian , for example in 1308 to Götzprecht von Satzenhofen , 1314 to Marquard and Heinrich the Auracher, in 1316 to Wolf von Nabburg and Konrad Nothracht . 1,326 are in the Salbuch Vizedomamtes Lengenfelder Felden here 14 fiefs, a forestry fief and a large courtyard of Ortlieb and Marquart Zenger and Götzfried of Sazenhofen listed.

On May 1, 1978 the municipality of Kemnath am Buchberg , to which Sitzambuch belonged, was incorporated into the town of Schnaittenbach.

In 1990 Sitzambuch won a gold medal in the district decision and in 1991 a bronze medal in the state decision in the competition Our village has a future . In 1992 Sitzambuch won a silver medal in the district decision.

Sitzambuch is located on the AS 26 district road between Schnaittenbach and Kemnath am Buchberg . From Schnaittenbach you can reach Sitzambuch via the district road AS 19 and the district road AS 26 after 5 km.

Sitzambuch is connected to local public transport via two bus routes. These are RBO line 44 between Neuersdorf and Nabburg via Schnaittenbach ( VGN line 444) and RBO line 74 between Götzendorf or Mertenberg and Schnaittenbach.

The nearest train stations are in Wernberg-Köblitz (12 km), Nabburg (15 km) and Amberg (21 km).
