Gabriel Kembo Mamputu

Gabriel Kembo Mamputu (born September 19, 1935 in Madimba-Kimfinda , † August 26, 2016 in Kimpese , Democratic Republic of the Congo ) was the former bishop of Matadi .

Life

Gabriel Kembo Mamputu was ordained a priest on June 23, 1963 and was incardinated in the clergy of the Matadi diocese . John Paul II appointed him Bishop of Matadi on June 21, 1988.

The Archbishop of Kinshasa , Joseph-Albert Cardinal Malula , donated him episcopal ordination on October 2nd of the same year ; Co- consecrators were Laurent Monsengwo Pasinya , auxiliary bishop in Kisangani , and Antoine Mayala ma Mpangu , bishop of Kisantu .
