Gabriele From Gimborn (* 19 October 1959 in Vienna as Gabriele Strebinger ) is an Austrian doctor and politician. From 2013 to 2018 she was a member of the Lower Austrian state parliament for the Stronach team .

education and profession

After primary school, von Gimborn went to high school and studied medicine at the University of Vienna . In 1984 she became Dr. med. PhD . She then completed regular training in Schladming and Baden from 1985 to 1988 and then worked as a medical practitioner at the rehabilitation center for neurological and rheumatological diseases and movement disorders in Laab im Walde from 1988 to 1990 . She has been practicing as a general practitioner in her own practice since 1991 . Von Gimborn completed numerous additional training courses during her professional career. In 1997 she obtained her final diploma in osteopathy , took part in a pediatric osteopathy training course and continued her education in this area at the OCC for pediatric osteopathy and in the hospital for premature babies in London . Furthermore, in 1990 she trained in neural therapy with a diploma, in 1991 a physioenergetics training in Vienna and also in 1991 a bioresonance and allergy training in Germany. In addition, she continued her education in 1992 through a Matrix and Vegasom training, as well as a neural and psycho kinesiology training. In addition, she completed a Skasys training in Munich in 2005 and between 2008 and 2009 training in clinical hypnosis at the University of Vienna. Von Gimborn names osteopathy, pediatric osteopathy, mental training , medical kinesiology and clinical hypnosis as her professional focus as a doctor .

From 1997 to 2001 von Gimborn held an assistant position with teaching activities at the Vienna School for Osteopathy and has coordinated his own center for conventional medicine, holistic medicine, wellness and preventive care since 1991. Since 2009 she has been a consultant for the Lower Austrian Medical Association for complementary medicine , has lectured at the Erste Wiener Privatklinik for osteopathy students and also teaches anatomy in the Body and Health Academy . Since 2010 she has also been teaching fascia courses at the Body & Health Academy. From 2011 to 2013 she was chairwoman of the Austrian Society for Osteopathy (ÖGO), of which she has been a member of the scientific advisory board.

politics

On April 24, 2013, Gimborn sworn in for the Stronach team (short name: FRANK ) as a member of the Lower Austrian state parliament . After the state elections in Lower Austria in 2018 , she left the state parliament.

For Medical Council election in Lower Austria on April 1, 2017, he entered as a contestant on the FPÖ list Freedom and Independent Medical northeast of.

Private

Von Gimborn is married and has two sons. The family lives in Baden near Vienna.

According to her own statements, her husband's ancestors come from the " German - Dutch border". Accordingly, Von Gimborn was confirmed by the Prussian War Ministry as a [Dutch] name in 1899 , which was recognized in Austria in July 1950 by the Styrian state government .
