The Gaiskogel , also spelled Gaiskogl , is a 3129 m high mountain in the southwestern Stubai Alps in Tyrol , Austria .
The mountain is located on the western main ridge of the Stubai Alps, north over the head of the Windach Valley, an eastern side valley of the Ötztal . The valley location is Sölden in the Ötztal. The closest alpine shelters and also starting points for an ascent are the Hildesheimer Hütte and the Siegerlandhütte .

The Gaiskogel is not far from the alpine transition from the Siegerlandhütte to the Hildesheimer Hütte. The normal route runs from the Triebenkarsee ( 2695 m above sea level , on the Triebenkarlasferner of the Zuckerhütl ) through the southeast flank over scree and through brittle crags to the summit in about two hours. Alternatively, the Gaiskogel can also be climbed from Gamsplatzl ( 3,018 m above sea level ) over the north ridge in moderately difficult climbing up to UIAA III + .
