Gal Gadot ( Hebrew גל גדות; Pronunciation : [ gal gaˈdɔt ]; * April 30, 1985 in Petach Tikwa ) is an Israeli model and actress .

life and career

Gal Gadot became known in the modeling industry as Miss Israel in 2004 and competed in the Miss Universe competition in Ecuador that same year . Gadot that for two years in the Israeli military had served, increased in 2007 for the magazine Maxim in the photo shoot part "Women of the Israeli army".

She made her debut as an actress in 2008 in the Israeli television series Bubot . She achieved international fame through the film series The Fast and the Furious , in which she played the role of Gisele Yashar from 2009 to 2013. In the comic book adaptation Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice , Gadot took on the role of Wonder Woman in 2016 . She embodied this a year later in the film of the same name, Wonder Woman , this time as the leading actress. The release of the film was banned in Lebanon and Tunisia on allegations that Gadot participated in attacks on the Gaza Strip during her military service .

In 2017 she was accepted into the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences (AMPAS), which awards the Oscars every year.

In June 2018 she turned down the moderation of the ESC 2019 in Israel due to time constraints.

Gadot has been married to Israeli businessman Yaron Versano since 2008. The two have two daughters (* 2011 and * 2017).
