Gary Lewis (actor)
Gary Lewis (born November 30, 1958 in Glasgow , Scotland , Great Britain ; born Gary Stevenson ) is a Scottish film actor .
biography
Gary Lewis was born and raised in Glasgow. According to his own statements, he suffered greatly from the pressure of his strict parents to perform in his youth. After graduating from school, he first worked as a street cleaner to earn a living.
Lewis made his theater debut at the age of 32. There he met the actor Peter Mullan , who also helped him get his first film role. In 1994 the two of them stood together in front of the camera in Kleine Murders among friends . Soon after, he became a member of an acting group directed by Ken Loach . A number of other films followed, including well-known ones such as Billy Elliot - I Will Dance , Gangs of New York , Eragon - The Legacy of the Dragon Riders and Supervolcano , in which Lewis could take on roles.
He has two children from different relationships.
