Gaston Albert Joseph Marie Moisson de Vaux Saint Cyr (born December 18, 1875 in Livorno , † August 5, 1953 in La Ciotat ) was a French diplomat .

Life

Gaston Albert Joseph Marie de Vaux studied at the École libre des sciences politiques , where he received his doctorate in law . He joined the Foreign Service in 1901 and became an attaché in Berlin in 1903 . In 1905 he was secretary of legation in Athens , 1910 in Mexico City , where he 1911 financial support was. In 1912 he was chargé d'affaires in Lima and in 1913 envoy in Stockholm . From 1918 to 1919 he was head of the embassy in Christiania, today's Oslo . In 1919 he was promoted to first class diplomatic secretary and transferred to the Allied High Commission in Constantinople . In 1920 he became consul general in Stuttgart and in 1923 he held the same position in Warsaw . From 1926 to 1929 he was Envoy Extraordinary and Ministre plénipotentiaire in Durrës , Albania.
