Among other things, they built the railway line Alzey-Bingen , the tracks of the Central Station Mainz and the marshalling yard Mainz for the Hessian Ludwig Railway and the main railway station Ulm . They were involved in the construction of the Krähberg tunnel of the Odenwaldbahn .

In 1893 they bought the quarry on Wingertsberg in Nieder-Ramstadt . There, diorite , horn rock and granite were extracted and, among other things, (railway) ballast was made from them. In 1898 they merged with their competitor, the owner of the neighboring quarry on Roßberg, which is located in the districts of Roßdorf , Ober-Ramstadt and Zeilhard , also east of Darmstadt , on the northern edge of the Odenwald . Here is basalt won. Together with its owner, Breitwieser & Co, owner Ludwig Breitwieser (1842–1905), they founded the Odenwald hard stone industry from both quarries . Other engagements included the quarries in Dossenheim ( Leferenz quarry : opened in 1883; operated until the 1980s), Haßlach, Kappel-Windeck, Hornberg and Villingen and the south-west German hard stone industry . Originally they planned other railway lines, such as Mannheim- Schriesheim. However, these could not be carried out by them or otherwise to this day. The horse tram in Heidelberg was built by the company and put into operation in 1885, and the Heidelberg mountain railway in 1890 .
