Gege is an Inkhundla (administrative unit) in the west of the Shiselweni region in Swaziland . It is 559 km² and had 18,196 inhabitants according to the 2007 census.

geography

The Inkhundla is located in the west of the Shiselweni region, west of the Makondo River , on the border with South Africa . In the east, several mountains rise to over 1200  m altitude: Hlabeni Kop ( , 1366  m ), Molingane Kop ( , 1312  m ), Ntabankulu Kop ( , 1239  m ). To the southeast this mountain range continues with Inkonjane Kop ( , 1096  m ) and the Mahamba Mountains ( , 1299  m ), where the Mahamba Protected Landscape is located. The main traffic artery in Inkhundla is MR 13 . The closest border crossing is Bothashoop with a connection to Piet Retief in South Africa.

The district is divided into the Imiphakatsi (chief districts) Dilini, KaDinga, KaTsambekwako, Mashobeni South, Mhlahlweni, Mlindazwe, Nashomanti, Nsukazi, Sidwala, Sisingeni and Sipendle / Mjikijelweni.
