Piggs Peak is an Inkhundla (administrative division) in the northwest of the Hhohho region in Swaziland . The Inkhundla is 476 km² and according to the 2007 census it had 17,359 inhabitants.

geography

The Inkhundla is located in the northwest of the Hhohho region in a hilly landscape rich in vegetation. In the vicinity of the main town Piggs Peak , forestry is mainly carried out. South of Piggs Peak is the dam Maguga Dam , north of the touristy significant waterfall Phophonyane Falls .

The district is located on the MR1 , which starts west of Mbabane and leads over north Swaziland to South Africa towards the Kruger National Park . The MR 20 runs westwards via Bulembu to the South African border . From there it runs as the R40 to Barberton, among other places . The MR 2 starts a little north of Piggs Peak and heads east.

The Inkhundla is divided into the Imiphakatsi (chief districts) Ludhumaneni / KaNdewa, Luhlangotsini, Nginamadvolo, Nsangweni and Piggs Peak.
