Matsanjeni North is an Inkhundla (administrative unit) in the east-southeast of the Lubombo region in Swaziland . It is mainly located in the Lebombo Mountains and is 425 km² in size. According to the 2007 census, the administrative unit had 12,940 inhabitants.

geography

The Inkhundla is located in the east of the Lubombo region, forms the easternmost tip of Swaziland and borders on South Africa . The Nyetane River runs along the southern border, where it also forms the border with South Africa. In the south, the Inkhundla Matsanjeni South joins, which already belongs to the Shiselweni region.

The district is divided into the Imiphakatsi (chief districts) Lukhetseni, Mambane, Maphungwane and Tikhuba.
