Matsanjeni South (also Matsanjeni ) is an Inkhundla (administrative unit) in the extreme southeast of the Shiselweni region in Swaziland . The Inkhundla is characterized by the Nkondolo Hills and Mabandebande Hills ; it is 416 km² and had 16,238 inhabitants according to the 2007 census.

geography

The Inkhundla is located in the east of the Shiselweni region. The eponymous settlement lies in the plain of the Sitilo River, which crosses the border to South Africa to the south and drains to the Phongolo . The main traffic artery is the MR 11 . In the north, the Inkhundla Matsanjeni North joins, which already belongs to the Lubombo region.

The district is divided into the Imiphakatsi (chief districts) Bhambitje, Dinabanye, Kwaluseni / Mgamu, Nkonka, Nsalitje and Qomintaba.
