Gehrden is a district of Winsen (Luhe) in the Harburg district in Lower Saxony . The place has 251 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2017; 2014: 262).
history
Gehrden was mentioned in 1478 as a field name tho den Geerden . In 1769 six farmers were settled there by the Duchy of Braunschweig-Lüneburg . The goal was originally just to operate arable land . Originally the settlement was on Saatgehrden Street. Gehrden later spread out along the dike.

traffic
The district road 86 runs on the Gehrdener Deich , it is today's main road. Gehrden is located exclusively on the north side of the dike. The county road leads to Winsen in the east and to Achterdeich and Stelle in the west . To the north, Gehrden is connected to Hoopte by the Geestwiesenweg .
South of Gehrden, the Hanover – Hamburg line runs parallel to the dike. District road 8 branches off from the main road to Ashausen . This is where the nearest train station is located, which is served by the metronome .
A bus connection takes place via the lines 4632, 4661, 4663, 4664 and 4714, which are operated by the KVG Stade in the tariff association of the HVV . The bus traffic is almost exclusively aimed at different school centers. Only the line 4714 has a different goal, the Airbus -Werk Finkenwerder .

The area around Gehrden is still characterized by pastures and arable land. The dike is connected to the Seeve via the Ashauser Mühlenbach .
