The Spiritual Board of Muslims of Tatarstan (Russian Духовное управление мусульман Республики Татарстан / Duchownoje Uprawlenije mussulman Respubliki Tatarstan,.. Abbr ДУМ РТ / DUM RT ), also known as muftiate of Kazan known (Казанский муфтият / Kasanski muftijat), the most important Muslim organization in Tatarstan (see also Islam in Tatarstan ). Chair the 1998 founded Spiritual Board leads the reigning Supreme Mufti Kamil Sami Gullin (since 2013), which his Islamic education in addition to the institutions in Kazan and at the after Sheikh Muhammad Arif named North Caucasian Islamic University in Makhachkala ( Dagestan ) and the Madrasa of İsmail- Aga congregation in Istanbul .

The headquarters of the Spiritual Administration is in Kazan , the capital of the Republic of Tatarstan in Russia . Their main mosque after Kul Sharif - the last imam of Kazan before the Russian conquest of the Khanate named - Kul Sharif mosque just there.

The main higher educational institution is the Russian Islamic Institute (University) in Kazan .

The DUM institution mainly represents the predominant Sunni Islam of the Hanafi school of law ( madhhab ) in Tatarstan .
