Gelting is part of the municipality of Geretsried in the Upper Bavarian district of Bad Tölz-Wolfratshausen .
The place is northwest of the core city Geretsried and directly south of the core city Wolfratshausen on the TOL 22. West and north of the place runs the Loisach-Isar Canal , to the west the Loisach flows . The B 11a runs north and the St 2370 runs west.

- The Catholic branch church St. Benedikt (Wolfratshauser Straße 1) was built from 1631 to 1649, the lower floor of the tower, however, dates from 1532. The upper floor was renewed in 1659/60 and 1708 and redesigned in 1734. The inserted polygonal choir and the northern onion dome belong to the baroque hall .
- The building of the former village smithy (near Wolfratshauser Strasse) is a ground floor flat saddle roof building with wooden fittings. It dates from the first half of the 19th century.
